What does a Support Worker do?

Our support workers are caring people committed to providing our clients with the best possible support. Each client will have individual care requirements; however, you may be expected to support with all elements of daily living such as personal care, food preparation, mobility or bowel/urinary continence care and ensure medication needs are met. You may also help our clients to access the community, undertake shopping for them or help them to take part in their hobbies.

Previous experience is not always necessary as we will provide training. The qualities needed to be a community support worker include honesty, reliability, trustworthiness, flexibility, commitment and good communication skills

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience is preferred, although not essential
  • Someone with reliable transport and a current Full NZ driver’s license
