Caring for you, your whānau and family since 1927

Access Community Health

Access Community Health has been caring for our communities since 1927. In those early days the ‘bush nurses’, members of the Women’s Division Federated Farmers, rode horseback to people isolated in rural communities bringing valuable support and care, assistance in the home and maternity support.

Today, we reach more than 40,000 people in their own homes to provide nursing, personal care, rehabilitation, social support and household assistance. We can help you.

What is your enquiry regarding?

It is largely due to the support and faithful rural service of our team from Access that mum was with us as long as she was. She was able to be in her home surrounded by the things she loved in a positive and happy atmosphere.”

Reverend Jones, Canterbury

It is fair to say that without Access and the amazing carers, Tom would be more than likely dead as he would not survive in a rest home for long.”

Kay, Southbridge

“The standard of care provided to my daughter has been of a very high standard and as a registered nurse myself, I truly appreciate this. For me too the team have been a valuable support.”

Tracey, Wairarapa

Manuel is dedicated and caring. His excellent manner means I have a worry-free time whilst he is caring for me.

James, Wellington

Tracey has made a wonderful connection with us all and her support has been absolutely invaluable for my family. She has worked tirelessly to ensure my fathers’ comfort and happiness in his final days.

Bridget, Christchurch

The extra care I receive both helps us cope and brings a fresh face into the mix and, if I may say so, a very cheerful and kind one in my support workers. While each is as different as the sun and the moon, both bring me more than help but human contact too.”

Lester, Auckland
