Access Community Health

🤎🫡 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚲So ... our Annual Appeal this year is around ensuring OUR services are equitable - that they're available freely and equally to ALL in our SCI community who want and/or need them. And it doesn't matter what your SCI origin story is, whether sustained via an accident or an illness - if you need our support, you can get it 🙂 And this is not only important to us as a charity - it's personal. We have members on our team whose SCI is through illness, and frankly, they can be treated almost as 2nd class citizens sometimes ... within the disability sector. Sucks big time 🤔 This is not about whether or not the basic requirements are met - we know most basics will be provided. It's about whether the choices to empower you to live YOUR life as YOU want are available for you 😍We can't change the whole system - we're doing what we can behind the scenes - but with YOUR help we can keep our services available to all. Please give to our appeal - Access Community Health will match your donation dollar-for-dollar. www.nzst.org.nz ... "Grief is the price we pay for love", these words were uttered by Queen Elizabeth following the attacks on Sept. 11 2001 and words we offer back to our communities on hearing the sad news of her passing today. We will remember her record 70 year reign with great admiration and an outstanding example of a commitment to serve others. The Access Community Health whānau would like to offer our deepest sympathy to the Royal Family and to all of our community who are feeling her loss today. Moe mai ra e te rangatira. ...
