As part of the E tū, PSA, and NZNO unions’ campaign for pay equity, a National Day of Action has been scheduled for July 1, 2024. Different events are scheduled around the country.

Sadly, Te Whatu Ora is not funding any paid time to attend these meetings as it had done in the past.  Support Workers can however participate in support of the campaign, if they are not rostered on for care.

The unions goal is to put pressure on the government to increase funding for pay equity, they are strong advocates for the care and support workforce and we as a business continue to lobby government for better funding for our workers.
