Daily living activities Daily living activities

Household assistance: We help you to keep your home clean and safe through cleaning, cooking, laundry, shopping and transportation.

Personal care: We'll provide a discreet and respectful service helping to keep you personally clean and safe, from bathing and dressing to helping you in and out of bed and assistance with toileting. We can even provide a sleepover service for those requiring 24/7 assistance.

Rehabilitation following an accident or surgery Rehabilitation following an accident or surgery

Maybe you've had a fall or an injury or are recovering from surgery.  Whatever the cause our support workers help you gain confidence with rehabilitation exercises in your own home. We call it the restorative approach which includes goals to work towards getting you back on your feet again or achieving a level of independence you thought you may have lost. Other services include:

  • Physiotherapy and speech therapy
  • Occupational and social therapy
  • Assistance with mobility aids

We are one of only five national providers of home based care to ACC.

Fully qualified nursing services Fully qualified nursing services

We'll bring essential healthcare into your own home including:

  • Continence management
  • Stomal care
  • IV therapy
  • Wound care
  • Catheter care
  • Medication oversight, eye drops, symptom monitoring and management (for long-term conditions)
  • Palliative care

We also operate a team of nurses specialised in wound care management under our Total Care Health Services.

Individualised Funding Individualised Funding

Individualised Funding provides people living with a disability and funded by the Ministry of Health increased choice and control over how they use their support allocations. Access can assist you by providing IF 'host' services, including setting up an Individualised Funding Service, and helping you understand and manage your responsibilities.

I need help - where do I start?

Many people, depending on the circumstances, are entitled to state funded services through their District Health Board (DHB), the Ministry of Health, the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) or another agency. However there are other agencies who can provide support based on specific circumstances or conditions. Click the button below to find out more.
