Payroll Officer - Tauranga

Access is owned by Green Cross Health - a leading New Zealand primary health care provider.  Access Homehealth is one of New Zealand's leading home healthcare organisations, specialising in home-based personal and domestic support. We work with the Ministry of Health, District Health Boards and ACC among others, to support more than 20,000 people around the country. We are dedicated to giving our clients the care and support they need to live independently in their home and communities.

The Payroll Officer will follow legislative and company requirements in the processing of the payroll requirements of a workforce of over 4,000 staff and will be responsible for ensuring that staff are paid correctly and on time. The Payroll Officer will respond to staff with payroll queries and will work effectively in a high-volume processing environment.

We are looking for a person who will share our dedication to working in support of the elderly, people with disability and people recuperating from injury and illness.

The successful candidate will have:

  • An excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent relationship building and customer service skills
  • Highly organised and methodical work habits
  • Previous experience with a high-volume Payroll or a similar role
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Planning ability
  • Experience in Datapay, IMS and/or iPayroll is desirable
  • A commitment to achieving excellent outcomes in a busy team environment
  • Strong intermediate level data entry skills
