Whether you’re just starting out in the health industry, or you’re looking to further your career, you could find your place within Access's team of over 4,000 staff across New Zealand. Our teams work from regional support centres and in clients own homes and cover a diverse range of roles including support workers, registered and enrolled nurses, care coordinators, support worker coordinators,  administrators, trainers and managers. Support Worker High Needs Client

Do you enjoy being an integral part of a team? Have a calm and positive attitude? Considerate and accepting of others? Genuine commitment to in house training? Patient and able to negotiate conflict when needed?

Responsibilities

  • Personal care, including showering, dressing and grooming; bowel cares
  • Supporting rehabilitation and independence in the home
  • Cleaning, meal preparation and shopping

What are we looking for?

  • Qualification - Level 3 or above, and experience working with high needs clients are a must!
  • Must have reliable transport and a current Restricted or Full New Zealand drivers licence
  • Have availability to do evenings and overnights
  • Attitude – you will be someone who is honest, reliable and with integrity. You will thrive off helping and supporting others.
  • Commitment to regular hours – you must be available to work alternative weekends and outside of school hours
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand
