Advanced Support Workers


Hutt Valley and Wellington

We’re looking for 2x Advanced Support Workers – 1x Wellington and 1x Hutt Valley to support us in training our carer workforce and supporting our complex and high needs clients.

What does an Advanced Support Worker do?

  • This role supports our Support Workers at induction and annually to support their skills and practice and achieve their competencies.
  • The role also supports our Clients especially those with individualised and or specialised activities.
  • This role is full time and will require the Advanced Support Worker to have one regular day working over the weekend i.e Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday
  • They also need to be Level 4 or be working towards it.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum of 6-months experience is essential – experience working with clients with complex needs is advantageous (e.g. Spinal injury, ABI and epilepsy)
  • Minimum level 3 and working towards a level 4 qualification
  • Previous experience with behaviour management advantageous
  • Attitude – you will be someone who is honest, reliable and with integrity. You will thrive off helping and supporting others.
