Job Summary

Work within the community as a Community Registered Nurse and assist clients to remain within their homes, helping them to stay independent.

Access is one of New Zealand's leading healthcare organisations, specialising in home-based healthcare and support. We work with the Ministry of Health, District Health Boards and ACC among others, to care for more than 20,000 people around the country. We are dedicated to giving our clients the care and support they need to live independently in their home and communities. Access is a division of Green Cross Health, who own 300 pharmacies under the Life and Unichem brands, and GP practices under The Doctors brand.

Access Community Registered Nurses work in the community, completing assessment, interventions including clinical programmes, education, and issuing of equipment. They work with the client, family and support workers to ensure that we provide safe, effective care and support to our clients.

We're looking for someone who shares our dedication to working in support of our clients who have health needs and/or with disability who require rehabilitating from injury and illness.

Hours of work are 40 per week.


  • Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, coupled with a caring nature and the ability to connect and interact within a multi-cultural environment.
  • Intermediate level computer and on-line information recording skills.
  • The ability to plan and organise assignments effectively, to establish priorities and meet deadlines in a demanding, client focused environment.
  • A current driver’s license - we'll provide the car.
